Beginning Friday night and continuing each night through Halloween, guests will be guided along the twisting passages of the carrier in a ghost walk entitled "The Curse of Blackbeard's Skull." The conclusion is a face-to-face meeting with Blackbeard.
It's the first time such tours have been held on the carrier which was launched during World War II and also saw service during the Vietnam War.
Officials at the Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant say the ghost tours are not for the faint of heart and those under age 11 must be accompanied by adults.
