A documentary film about the famous Citizen Kane movie, The Tommy Wiseau Film, was finally seen by a wider audience, after a Toronto judge on Wednesday revoked an order to the Canadian doctor.
Room Full of Spoons, from the writer and filmmaker Ottawa Rick Harper, super fan of The Room, tells the story of the 2003 cult film, which is in the interior berkonbab with the blessing of Wiseau. Nevertheless, create the look of this movie, and in June look for a command not to show the movie, accuse the copyright ice, install the privacy and mock and disparage him and The Room.
In a rather funny decision - notes "Superior Room Judge Markus Koehnen rejected all claims.
Achieved by the Stars to comment on, Wiseau says he is already convinced of this decision and will not comment on his next move.
"From what I've heard, it's not over yet, so we'll see what happens," Wiseau said. When asked if he plans to appeal, he repeats: "We'll see what happens," and hangs up.
Harper, the documentary maker, is very excited. "I drove the car and I got an email from his lawyer on Wednesday and all the lid said, 'Congratulations, this order has been revoked,' and I just started shouting," he said.
"It feels great, man, it's so wonderful now. We never saw the light at the end of the tunnel, so we do not really know where we're going from here .... We have not even announced it to us fans yet."
This decision came at the right time for Harper, because the comedy about making The Room, called The Disaster Artist - starring James Franco as Tommy Wiseau - released in December. Wiseau itself is a star attraction in the screening of Toronto International Film Festival of the Disaster Artist in September.
"This is really the right time for us," Harper said. "Funny yes, sometimes there are perceptions out there because we try to ride the Disaster Artist coaster (but) we started making this movie before there was a Disaster Artist book."
Harper befriended Wiseau's enigmatic full-year ago, and began to work together in this documentary, but he says they have clarity over their vision of the film.
"Part of the kind of branding is about the mystery he builds around his character," Harper said of Wiseau. "Is he really like that? Is it a performing arts? Does he just play Johnny's role from The Room all the time? In an interview, he is completely evasive, he never talks about these things, and as a movie buff, Fans of Tommy Wiseau, I started answering those questions, exactly the right documentary to be done.
"I think he expects the documentary to be a celebration of The Room, which in the end, and his friend very seriously as an artist. There's no reason he's an artist, but I do not think he can appreciate him being celebrated.
