Will and Grace just that night were doozy. Because while the episodes contained a lot of laughter and comedic cartoons, "Quinceanera Rosario" also gave Karen Walker Megan Mullally a chance to show some defeat. Maid and spouse Rosario have been seen missing from the new season, and now Will and Grace have found a way to do nothing. You guessed it: The Rosary was killed, destroying all our hearts in the process. Creator Max Mutchnick has since then previewed how the future of Shelley Morrison helped inspire the author's space for this storyline story.
We know we will no longer hold Shelley [Morrison] and his character will not be on the show. As a writer, only presented a situation that is too exciting to not survive and write.
Shelley Morrison is just about the original Will and Grace stars who are not set for her role in the new season. And according to Max Mutchnick's comment to THR, the authors consider this an opportunity to make an interesting story. While Morrison has a truncated role in the internet world of the group in 2016, he is now in his 80s and has retired from a business known as a show. And given his immense power in the original series, Will and Grace need him to answer and he does not argue insults in this new season.
Before the deceased Rosie died in the last episode, she had been in the previous episode. In the second episode, there's no reason to help Karen in her bedroom. It keeps him alive and well, which makes his death-death blow suddenly more dramatic. It should be interesting to see if the Irish team has finally become a bigger role in the series moving forward. Because if Karen can not terrorize her staff, is she even Karen right?
While Shelley Morrison is absent in the final episode of the Rosary, there are two surprising surprises. The most obvious is Minnie Driver, who echoes his role as Lorraine Finster at the Rosary funeral service. But the second guest is a bit smoother for hardcore enthusiasts Will and Grace. Because when Karen gets up from Rosie's ministry to drink her feelings, she is waited on by her new maid, Smitty. Smitty made six appearances during the show premiere, trying to give Karen some context about the world's problems by telling a funny story from her past ... which previously made Karen crack.
Rosario's sudden death also gave Megan Mullally a chance to perform dramatic acting in the episode. Karen Karen's pockets are few and far between, but are always wrapped in emotional blows as they occur. Seeing Karen say goodbye to Rosie is an emotional experience, though there is comfort knowing Shelley Morrison is alive and well of IRL.
